4. I am informed by the Chief Medical Officer that the

new and well-equipped laboratories and Centre for

Research in Santa Isabel (F.Poo) is practically completed.

The number of patients in the Sleeping Sickness

Concentration Camp has diminished greatly, and I understand

that only shout 200 are at present under treatment.

idea of making Elobey Taland a segregation camp for natives

suffering from this disease has not been abandoned, and I

believe that in the early part of the coming year the first

ship-load will be sent there.
